Shormey “Boogie Island”

Time to rejoice. There’s a new Shormey song in the world and it’s as infectious and glorious as we’ve come to expect. A hazy eighties, lo-fi melodic beauty, “Boogie Island” positively shimmers. The backing track feels like an uplifting spin on Sade’s mighty fine “Why Can’t We Live Together” cover from her own perfect debut album. We wrote about Shormey’s last single back in August and this seems like a pretty damn good reason to repost that also exceptionally fine song, “Cruise”, one more time in case you missed it ! Check it out below.
