Time to rejoice. There’s a new Shormey song in the world and it’s as infectious and glorious as we’ve come to expect. A hazy eighties, lo-fi melodic beauty, “Boogie Island” positively shimmers. The backing track feels like an uplifting spin on Sade’s mighty fine “Why Can’t We Live Together” cover from her own perfect debut album.
